 The Infinite Possibilities in the Block World - My Minecraft Evolution History

1.Open creative experience
The first time I played the game Minecraft was when I was 10 years old. The most fascinating aspect of Minecraft is undoubtedly its open-ended creative gameplay. The game offers a rich variety of blocks, ranging from basic building blocks to functional blocks, making players feel as if they have a huge library of building blocks. Whether it's the magnificent castle, the fantastical sky garden, or the sophisticated redstone mechanical device, almost all of them can be realized in this virtual world as long as you can think of them. This highly free creative mode greatly stimulates players' imagination and creativity, enabling every player to become a unique world builder. For instance, many players, with their superb architectural skills, have replicated famous buildings in reality and even constructed completely original fantasy realms. The sense of achievement brought by such creation is unparalleled.
 
I can use my imagination to build anything I can think of and even achieve what I can't achieve in reality.

2.Exploration and adventure elements
The exploration elements of the game are equally wonderful. The randomly generated vast world is full of unknowns and surprises. From dense forests, steep mountains to mysterious caves and deep oceans, every place conceals unique resources and creatures.

During the exploration process, players may accidentally discover precious minerals hidden underground or encounter dangerous monsters that can bring rich rewards. In the adventure mode, players also need to deal with various monsters that appear at night, such as skeletons, zombies and coolies, etc. This challenging adventure experience makes the game full of tension and excitement, constantly stimulating the players' nerves.

3.Rich expansibility
Minecraft has a huge Mod community and rich material pack resources. By installing different mods, players can add all kinds of new contents to the game, such as new creatures, props, architectural styles, and even brand-new game mechanics. Like the "Twilight Forest" mod, it opens up a brand-new fantasy world for players, featuring unique terrains, powerful bosses and rare resources. The "Industrial Age" mod introduces technological elements, allowing players to develop industry in the game and experience the leap from primitive to modern technology. Material packs can change the visual style of a game. Whether it's pursuing the ultimate expression of realistic style, cartoon style or pixel art style, it can all be achieved through material packs, constantly bringing a sense of novelty to players.

4.The directions for improvement that need to be refined
（1）For players who are encountering "Minecraft" for the first time, the novice guidance of the game is a bit weak. At the beginning of the game, only some basic operation prompts were provided, but there was a lack of systematic and in-depth guidance on the core gameplay of the game, such as resource collection, planning for building construction, and how to deal with monsters in survival mode. This makes many novice players feel confused in the early stage of the game, not knowing where to start, and they may even give up the game due to frequent deaths or not knowing how to develop. It can be considered to add a progressive beginner tutorial level, or set some guiding tasks and hints in the game world to help novice players familiarize themselves with the game mechanics and gameplay more quickly.


（2）In the later stage of the game, when players have accumulated a large amount of resources, built magnificent structures, and defeated the final BOSS, the Shadow Dragon, the sense of purpose in the game will gradually weaken. Although exploration and construction can continue, there is a lack of new and challenging goals and content to drive players to keep investing time and energy. The official can introduce more challenging BOSS battles, or open up new dimensions, add more advanced resources and complex synthesis systems, providing new pursuits and challenges for players in the later stage and extending the game's life cycle.

When I play the game Minecraft with my friends, I feel very relaxed and happy. Maybe this is the value this game brings to us.

In conclusion, Minecraft stands out in the gaming world with its unique charm. Despite some shortcomings, this does not prevent it from becoming a classic in the hearts of many players. It is believed that with continuous updates and optimizations, it will continue to shine in the future and bring more surprises and joy to players.

  I chose the classic German board game "Carcassonne" as the research object. Its digital version (Steam/ mobile version) perfectly replicates the original gameplay: players take turns to draw terrain blocks, piece them together onto the central map, and dispatch "Mibao" workers to occupy castles, roads or farmlands to score.
